Cinco De Mayo in St. Augustine

Food is decent. One of the better options for the area. Problem is I have gone here four times and EVERY single time they have messed up my order. Menu doesn't accurately describe what comes on every item. Knowing this, when I order I state EXACTLY what I want on food items and it still is wrong. If it wasn't for mistakes every time I'd give a higher rating. Once or twice is understandable, four is just frustrating. Will not go back for that reason.

First time they messed up the order they promised us they would rectify it (To-go). They did not. Second time we ordered 60.00 worth of food and ordered the big queso times two. We ordered two bags of chips. When I got three bags of chips, I asked for the 4th. I was told that the queso does not come with chips. I knew it was a lie seeing as I have been eating there for quite some time. Basically, each queso usually comes with a bag of chips. Not this time. Who orders a big queso without chips? I let the first go, but not this one. Management... get it together. You lost customers and we will spread the word. Good food does not constitute consistent bad treatment. Close yes, convenient yes... However, will definitely drive further from here on out.

This 5-star review is due to the vegan enchiladas. They were so yummy and are a must try -- I was pleasantly surprised. Even non-vegan family that was with me loved the vegan dish and said they would order it next time!The service was not so great though for dining in (seems like they were only focused on takeaway orders). The food took over an hour to come out and our server was pretty absent (drinks needed to be re-filled and new drinks needed to be ordered). We did go shortly after they re-opened from COVID (I think) so maybe that was the reason. Nonetheless, they should work on their communication (let the people waiting at tables know their meals will be delayed, have the servers check on the tables more often, etc).

Outstanding!!!! Can’t say enough great things about this restaurant!! My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and we have been already 5 times since they opened up the dinning room due to corona virus, and about 5 times for take out. We have got so many different things off the menu and it’s all just the best of the best. Service is top notch! Inside is authentic and very cute, clean, great prices and again...DELICIOUS food.

This place is, I want you to enjoy your meal and not spend high price for it. It's one of those diner,dinner,& dives places that Guy would visit. Don't get the big size beer unless you can handle it, biggest mug I ever had. I'm up from Jersey for a visit and I will be back to this place.

Best Mexican food ever!

Multiple things were wrong with my order, the lady up front stopped mid convo and walked away from me when I was being nice about it, there wasn’t even a manager at the store to help with anything or fix any of my issues, the receipt doesn’t show what I payed for, so I got mixed answers from different employees.. first time there was great second time was HORRIBLE...After getting home more food was made wrong. I couldn’t even get an employee to show me what I payed for as I’m sure I payed extra on some items because I got extra stuff and I’ve ordered all of this order before. My receipt was also taken and not given back.

Other than the initial mistake of bringing me the wrong order, the food was AMAZING! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the staff were friendly.

This place is Awesome!! Delicious food, great atmosphere!! The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable on all menu items. You get more than what you pay for!! Well worth the money!!! Cinco De Mayo in Palencia!!

This is my second and last time coming here. The food never comes out right and i dont sway from the menu. Tonight i ordered a chicken quesadilla and they even have i pictur in the menu. Still doesnt come out as anticipated.

Regular Mexican establishment food, although the enchiladas were delicious. 4 of us at the table got them. Margarita was decent, not too strong, not too weak. We just missed happy hour, so they were $9 a piece, should have been a little stronger for that price. Our server was wonderful though, and very fast and efficient. Would stop in again to try a margarita during happy hour.

Cinco de Mayo's food is just outstanding! It's made great daily from fresh ingredients, so flavorful! And the staff is very nice and helpful! They even have my favorite drink Horchata, as well as Jamaica,Tamarindo & melon! Great place!

Decided to try this place against my better judgement, turned out as expected. The food is usual Mexican food if not a little more bland than I'm used to. Food and drinks are pretty expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants of the same quality. We were sat right under a dripping pipe from the ceiling, got all over my hubby and the table, when we asked to move a table over to avoid the drip they seemed very annoyed but did move us. It was worth a try since it's so close but I don't think I'll be going back.

Pretty good. Huge portions, quick friendly service and authentic Mexican food. Clean and fresh. They have red tomatoes! Great selection of tequila! Worth the drive from Fleming Island.

The waiters and waitress are always so personable and the bar service is grand...

Tasty, fresh Mexican dishes. Extensive menu, with something for everybody - even vegan friendly with fresh spinach, carrots, zucchini, bell pepper & onion, in any form... fajita, grilled, burrito, etc. Servers are friendly and accommodating, especially to those with 'special' dietary needs. Festive, colorful environment. Location convenient for those living outside cities of Jacksonville or St. Augustine. For travelers, it's only 4-5 miles west of I-95.

Great service, good food, large portions. Took a friend for her bday lunch, the staff came out singing and surprised her with a delicious treat. Steak fajitas and chimichanga were enough to take home half, and that’s the lunch portion!

This is an outstanding Mexican restaurant. I haven't tasted Mexican food this good since I left the West Coast. The sail fish tacos are amazing. The chile relleno was the best I've ever had. The chicken chimichanga was very flavorful. We all enjoyed the food so much that we just simply began sharing each other's plates because it was really really that good! Highly recommended and will be back again!

This place is alright. The food here isn't the best Mexican food I have had but it's okay. The environment is very authentic, however the way it is built the place echos, so it is very loud. The staff are kind of nice but they act as if they havee never waited a table. I live near here so I come here if I want mexican food because it is near by. Overall, it is mediocre but not to my expectations and probably not yours.

Best place. They helped us celebrate our high school graduates graduation party in style. Perfect Al Pastor. Emanuel is an amazing manager and very considerate. The family enjoyed every bite and commented on how good it was. Best Mexican place in town.

Consistently good. Best thing about it is the 32 oz beers for less than $5

Conveniently, always scheduled dinner during happy hour! Full menu, I love the fish tacos with a side of guac. Always busy, so sometimes it is difficult to get a seat where you prefer. Luckily, we were able to steer them away from a table next to the kitchen. Go and enjoy!

Awesome...great food, reasonable prices fast, friendly service.

The margaritas come from a machine and the guacamole comes from a can. This is the single worst Mexican restaurant that I have ever been to. You're better off going to Taco Bell.

DO NOT EAT HERE! THEY STOLE MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER AND RACKED UP A BUNCH OF CHARGES. A shame too, we really liked eating there. The bank was bank was able to reverse the charges.

We stopped here today for lunch after hitting the outlet mall. It was PERFECT. SO GOOD. I place them on the top of my favorite Mexican place to eat. I highly recommend them. Their staff is friendly and helpful and the food is to die for. This is my new favorite restaurant. I will be sure to make the drive from Jacksonville at least once a month.

The Queso Fundido con Chorizo is exceptional at this place. I highly recommend it.

we ordered takeout. I've always gotten chimichangas. The ones I received were in a corn shell half the size they normally are. They were disgusting, very rubbery.

Biggest taco salad I have ever seen. Fajita steak cooked perfectly!!

Great food and friendly staff. The price was just right. My husband, child and I loved it. The menu offers was good and the kid menu had quite a good choice unlike others I been to.

Behold the glorious Hawaiian fajita. This place is soo great that I dont see why it isn't 5 star. The meats were tender and delicious, everything was fresh and tasty, and the portions are very easily splitable if not ginormous. This is the best mexican food that Ive had since leaving California. OmG it was amazing!

Great food. Great alcohol selection. Dos XX and Speedy Gonzalez! Glad they had Valentina hot sauce. And the Habanero sauce was oh so spice! Will make this a spot to stop at on my way to or from St Augustine.

The place is a little loud, we waited several minutes to get our drink order. One the waiter came, he was very friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was good.

Best mexican food in St. Augustine. You can't beat the Tacos with Carnitas with fresh cilantro, onion and hot sauce. It comes with over a pound of meat. The Queso with your house chip. The wife had a Chicken Quesadilla and could only eat half it was so much food. A must if you like Mexican food.

We love coming here for date night! Amazing service, Rocky the bartender makes a killer Cucumber Margarita, very refreshing. We got the Steak California burrito that not only was delicious but as big as my husbands forearm, lol, and he got the Shrimp Fajita Salad, omg phenomenal! Great conversations over flan for dessert was the cherry on top of the whole night. This is definitely our new date night spot! Thanks to everyone tonight!

Just want to say this is the second time I’ve been to this restaurant it is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to the manager came out when They thought they might’ve had the order wrong in the kitchen just to double check the order and make sure everything was right in the server was on top of everything it is a great place to eat at if you want excellent service and great food

Great chips and salsa!! Very fresh! The server was excellent! Best Mexican food I have had in Flordia!! The meat was seasoned to perfection! I for sure recommend this to anyone!! I bet you will love it if you like Mexican food! I was not expecting this good of food!

The food was awesome. My wife's food was served in a pineapple! The house margarita was very good as well. Only downside was it was completely packed and everyone is in one square room. This place definitely needs to move to a bigger location.

They can’t seem to get take out orders right.On multiple occasions the order was either never prepared or missing was something. I recommend checking your order before you leave the restaurant and also calling first to insure the order is ready.
